I never believed in witches. Not the pointy-hat-and-broomstick kind, anyway. But then, I met the High Witch of the Corners, and everything changed.

It was a dark and stormy night, and I was lost in the woods. I had been hiking all day, and I was starting to get scared. The trees seemed to close in around me, and the wind howled like a banshee. I was about to give up and turn back when I saw a light in the distance.

I followed the light to a small cottage, and I knocked on the door. A moment later, it was opened by a woman who looked like she had stepped out of a fairy tale. She had long, flowing hair, and her eyes sparkled with mischief. She wore a long, flowing dress, and she had a crooked smile that made me feel at ease.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"I'm lost," I said. "Can I come in?"

"Of course," she said. "Come in and warm yourself by the fire."

I stepped inside the cottage, and I was immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere. The walls were lined with books, and there was a large fireplace in the center of the room. The fire was burning brightly, and it cast a warm glow on everything around it.

The woman sat down in a chair next to the fire, and I sat down opposite her. She offered me a cup of tea, and I accepted. As I sipped my tea, I couldn't help but feel drawn to her. She had a magnetic personality, and I found myself telling her all about my life.

I told her about my childhood, my family, and my dreams for the future. She listened patiently, and when I was finished, she smiled.

"You're a good person," she said. "You have a kind heart and a bright future ahead of you."

I was surprised by her words. I didn't know her, and yet she seemed to know me so well.

"Thank you," I said. "That means a lot to me."

We talked for hours that night. I learned that her name was Morwen, and that she had been living in the cottage for many years. She told me that she was a witch, and that she had the power to see the future.

I was fascinated by her story, and I asked her if she could tell me my future.

She smiled and said, "I can try." She closed her eyes and concentrated, and then she opened them again.

"I see great things in your future," she said. "You will travel the world, and you will meet many interesting people. You will learn a lot, and you will grow as a person. You will have a happy and fulfilling life."

I was amazed by her words. I had never thought of myself as someone who would travel the world or meet interesting people. But Morwen's words gave me hope. They made me believe that anything was possible.

I thanked Morwen for her time, and I left the cottage feeling inspired. I knew that I would never forget my encounter with the High Witch of the Corners.

Years later, I am still grateful for the wisdom and guidance that Morwen gave me. She helped me to see the potential in myself, and she gave me the courage to follow my dreams. I will never forget her, and I will always be grateful for the gift that she gave me.
