Lions Of Medina Book Cover Lions Of Medina Doyle D Glass

Lions of Medina is an epic historical novel that tells the story of the early days of Islam, from the rise of the Prophet Muhammad to the Battle of Badr. The novel is based on extensive research, and it brings to life the vibrant and complex world of seventh-century Arabia.

The novel begins with the birth of Muhammad in Mecca in 570 CE. Muhammad was a member of the Banu Hashim clan, a powerful tribe in Mecca. As a young man, Muhammad became a successful merchant and trader. He was also a deeply religious man, and he spent much time in prayer and meditation.

In 610 CE, Muhammad had a vision of the angel Gabriel. Gabriel told Muhammad that he was the Prophet of God, and he commanded him to preach the message of Islam. Muhammad began to preach his message in Mecca, but he was met with resistance from the city's leaders. The leaders of Mecca were afraid that Muhammad's message would undermine their authority, and they persecuted him and his followers.

In 622 CE, Muhammad and his followers were forced to flee Mecca. They traveled to Medina, where they were welcomed by the city's leaders. Medina became the new center of Islam, and Muhammad continued to preach his message there. In 624 CE, the Muslims of Medina fought the Battle of Badr against the Meccans. The Muslims were outnumbered, but they were victorious. The Battle of Badr was a turning point in the history of Islam, and it marked the beginning of the Muslim conquest of Arabia.

Lions of Medina is a gripping and informative novel that tells the story of the early days of Islam. The novel is based on extensive research, and it brings to life the vibrant and complex world of seventh-century Arabia. Lions of Medina is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of Islam or in historical fiction.
